The story
Meet Kai: loud, cocky and untouchable, or so he thinks. When a brash, tracksuited chav pushes his luck one too many times, he finds himself at the centre of something far beyond his control. What starts as a bit of banter spirals into a relentless transformation as his height, strength and status begin to slip away.
With every inch lost, the world around him grows harsher, bigger and far more dangerous. The lads who once laughed with him now loom overhead. Authority figures take a different tone. And the streets he once ruled become a towering playground of humiliation and domination.
As his body diminishes, so does his power, replaced by vulnerability, exposure and a growing realisation that maybe he was never as big as he thought.
Kai notices it again in the kitchen — reaching for a mug on the second shelf, the one that used to be easy, and finding that his fingertips don't quite make it. He stands on his toes. Still short. Massi watches from the doorway. Says nothing. Gets the mug. Sets it down in front of him like a gift.
In the back garden Massi lifts him without asking. Kai's feet leave the ground and he doesn't panic. Doesn't protest. Just lets his legs wrap around Massi's waist the way they fit now — easy, natural, like that's what they were shaped for.
He used to be able to look Massi in the eye. Now he has to look up. He's starting to think he prefers it.
