Muscle drain stories: his gains, your loss

Muscle doesn't vanish. It moves. In muscle theft, one man's size, strength or height drains straight into another, and the pleasure is in watching both ends of the transfer: a shirt going slack on one chest while it splits on the other. Sometimes it takes a touch, sometimes a device, sometimes a curse, and only one of them is happy about it.

Here you will find stolen muscle in illustrated stories, audio, Shrink Packs and a Shrink Files 3D game where you get to do the stealing yourself.

Who takes, and how

Every muscle drain story is a transfer with a direction. The thief wants what you have, and he takes it: in Shrink Files Issue 32: Tex's Muscle Theft a gym god steals other men's muscle until a leather daddy turns his own power against him. The swap is fairer, or at least tidier: in Shrink Files Issue 43: Size Swap a towering muscle god shrinks while his scrawny best friend swells into a Herculean dominant. And the drain doesn't always stop at muscle. In Shrink Files 55: Shrinking Brain Drain, the cleverest man in the room walks in and leaves able to say one word.

Speed matters as much as direction. A slow drain lets the victim notice, panic and bargain; a sudden one leaves him blinking at a body half its former size. Some men fight it, some beg, and a few discover they rather like being emptied out. Meanwhile the man on the receiving end gets bigger, cockier and harder to argue with by the minute. Some stories build whole worlds on it: Shrink Files Issue 56: The Size Economy gathers six stories set in one ruthless world where centimetres are currency, and spending them is never painless.

Muscle theft and its neighbours

Theft is muscle growth with a victim, so it borrows heavily from muscle growth and shrinking, often in the same scene. It is also pure alpha and beta: the hierarchy is settled by whoever holds the muscle at the end. When the drain goes after the mind instead, you are close to hypnosis and mind control.

Where to go next

Fancy being the thief? In the Muscle Theft game you play as Tex, who can steal muscle from any man he touches, from 145 pounds of nothing to seven feet of freak. For the thinking behind it, Wasting Away: Is Muscle Loss the New Frontier of Size Fetishism? makes the case for the losing side.

Questions

What is muscle theft?
Muscle theft is a fantasy in which one man's muscle, size or strength is taken by another, through touch, technology, magic or a contract. The thief grows as the victim shrinks, so every scene has two bodies changing at once. It is also called muscle drain or size drain, and it is entirely fiction: nobody's real gains are going anywhere.
What is the difference between muscle theft and size drain?
Muscle theft usually means bulk and strength changing hands. Size drain is broader: height, presence and even intelligence can be siphoned off. Most stories mix the two, so a man might lose his biceps first and his inches next. On this page you will find both, along with drains that go after confidence and brains.
Can I play a muscle theft game?
Yes. Muscle Theft is a Shrink Files 3D game in which you play as Tex, who can steal muscle from any man he touches, taking him from 145 pounds of nothing to seven feet of freak. It pairs neatly with Shrink Files Issue 32: Tex's Muscle Theft, the illustrated story of a gym god who steals other men's muscle.
Are the characters adults?
Yes. Every thief, every victim and every bystander on ShrinkingMen is an adult man over 18, and every story, recording and game is fiction for grown men. The only thing being stolen here is a little of your evening, and quite possibly your concentration at work tomorrow.
