A man who looks like a Ken doll finds out what it is to be one: shrunk to doll size and left at the mercy of much bigger people.

The story

Nathan, nicknamed "Ken" for his striking resemblance to the iconic doll, is Chief Product Sourcing Adviser for his father's luxury department store chain. His life of ease is turned upside down during a visit to the You-Neek Dolls factory, where the famously lifelike dolls hold a dark secret.

The story takes a chilling turn when Nathan witnesses the horrifying transformation of a woman into a doll-sized figure. His curiosity leads to his own diminutive fate: he is shrunk to the size of a doll.

Then it shifts to the perspective of his friend Darren, who meets the same fate while searching for Nathan. Both find themselves in a world where they are no longer men but mere playthings, subject to the whims of those around them.

This is a disturbing journey through the loss of autonomy and the uncanny reality of living as a doll, in a world that is suddenly too big and too controlling.

From the story

“You won’t be needing this anymore,” said Peterson, lifting Nathan’s phone off the table. As it lifted past Nathan’s head, he realised that the thing was now almost as big as he was tall.
“Please don’t do this, Mr Peterson. I promise we can work this out.”
Peterson ignored him. “Or these… excuse me…” He gently pulled Nathan’s clothes from under him, sending the tiny naked man onto his bum. “Oops. Careful down there, little man. We don’t want to damage the product now, do we?”
